Love makes a family

Oh, aren’t they just completely adorable, dads and kids.

Love makes a family

Oh, and FCKH8 has a nice Tumblr-stream too.

Across the stars

Just heard one of our nieces play this at a concert.

She played it well too.
Makes a Star Wars loving aunt happy.

Rainbow penguin

W and I just took a walk.
Hand in hand.
In pouring rain.

In my raingear I look like a rainbow penguin.

Lunch

I’m a semi-social luncher (is that a word?).

Some days it’s fun to have lunch with my colleagues.
Other days I want to be left well enough alone.

Leave me alone!

Naps

Incredibly restful afternoon at home.
W and M&M have all been napping for hours.

I hardly ever nap in the afternoon.
Strange that.

M&M are cats, of course.
Napping is part of their job description.

Pumpkin pie

What do you call it when you make pumpkin pie without the pie crust?
Pumpkin pudding?

I really dislike pie crust.
But I make a mean pumpkin pudding.

Tears

I read something today that made me cry.

Everything about emotional issues concerning fat children that grows into fat adults have that effect.
I know a lot about those emotional issues.
I know a lot about being an emotional eater, falling firmly into the thoughts and emotions categories.
I’m still fat and it’s still a daily struggle.
Although happiness helps, it doesn’t cure.

I’m also one who can’t talk or write about it without crying.
Crying makes my head hurt.

Thinking

W always look slightly worried when I utter the words
“I’ve been thinking”

Probably because it usually involves domestic work of some sort.
Or organizing something.

She just loves that….

Hot

Toddy!

My first hot toddy ever.
Not bad.

After it’s consumed I’ll proceed to hot spiced red wine
(can’t let the leftover red wine from W’s craving on Monday go to waste).

After that I’ll probably crawl to bed.

Does anyone know why all the recipes for hot spiced red wine are big enough to make an entire village get drunk?

Cold

It’s now official.
I have cold.

I crave sympathy.
And a hot toddy.
